From 1 January 2027 a PDF is no longer enough.
The German transition period for e-invoicing ends on 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027, companies with more than €800,000 in prior-year revenue must issue structured e-invoices to EN 16931 — from 2028 it applies to everyone.
